To make this a chocolate sponge would I use 300g butter, sugar & 200g flour, 100g cocoa powder? Also would I swap the caster sugar for light brown sugar.?

I know this is an old comment but strangely enough I have just done this the back to basics chocolate cake recipe is the same amount of ingredients as this but the chocolate is 2
Layers so I’ve just used the back to basics recipe but done in 6” tins and made 4 layers
