Could this brownie recipe be adapted to make a blondie instead? And if so, how so? Or would I be better off making your regular blondie recipe and just putting the KitKats in? I’m not sure whether the KitKats would effect the baking time or anything? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks in advance x

Another great brownie recipe! I’ve baked it twice now but can only ever fit 8 KitKats in the tin…. My Tetris skills obviously aren’t quite up to scratch! Haha. Never mind… just means I get to eat 4 KitKats!

I can only fit 6 of the four finger ones in my tray. Do you do two layers?

Try putting the KitKat’s in the freezer for a couple of hours or overnight – same with the choc chips. Pretty much guarantees they will hold their shape while baking.

I assume I would want to pre freeze the twix too?

Thanks so much x

I was searching for a recipe to use up an abundance of orange flavoured KitKats I had. I found it hard to find specific orange recipes so adjusted to normal KitKats and came across this one.
I only had milk chocolate, rather than dark, and used only about 20 g of chocolate chips. I also cut the sugar slightly and used a mixture of salted and unsalted butter as it was all I had.
I was worried the brownies would be overdone as they didn’t wobble after the 25 minutes. However, they were lovely and gooey in the middle with a nice slight crinkled layer on top. They kept so well for a week and smelled divine! I loved the layer of KitKats which came through in each bite. Thank you so much for this recipe.

Hiya! Yes – bake until there is a slight wobble in the middle, then leave to ‘set’ in the fridge overnight! Hope this helps! x

Hi Jane, failed on these, had a salter temp gauge in the oven, but were still overall wobbly all over, after 30 mins, made the mistake of leaving them in too long, top was overcooked, so is it best to take them out after 30 mins and leave them to finish cooking while cooling down, totally my fault, recipe was spot on, still miss your vlogs.
