Just made these and added extra mixed spice and cinnamon. They are fabulous! The crumble topping lifts them in texture and taste. Spot on!

Gorgeous moist muffins, crunchy crumb topping and spiced iced drizzle. Next time I’ll double up the spices as taste of the muffin was a little too subtle, not a criticism, just my personal preference.

I baked on 190 fan for five minutes, then 170 fan for 20 minutes – the quick blast of heat helps the centre rise to give that perfect bakery style dome to the muffins

These are super easy to make and give a really polished finish.. Thanks for sharing your recipe Jane. Wx

Mixed spice is a pre-made spice mixture in the UK, like pumpkin or apple pie spice. Either of those would probably work

Took these to my in-laws last night and they went down very well. Super light and soft and the crumble topping adds a great bit of texture. I’m awful at making cream cheese frosting so a carrot cake without was a dream. I only had 200g carrot so I chucked in 50g sultanas as I’m a carrot cake with fruit kinda person. Thanks Jane!
